The saga continues, and yey a dragonfly appeared hovered over the pond having a good look, liked what it saw and proceeded to lay eggs, but not in the water it poked about in all the old logs surrounding the pond,so hopefully in a year or however long it takes I should have dragonfly nymphs it was a Southern Hawker very lovely and quite large. The other day after a particularly heavy rainstorm the sun came out and there were dragonflys everywhere 10 20 30 loads ,they loved the warm sun ,so I decided to lift the canopy of cover in my garden and cut a few tree branches down, give a bit more light to the garden and maybe ill get some more in my garden.

The Pond Saga continues
The remaking of a wildlife pond,my poor old pond gave up the fight a few years ago now, so i had to re line it re stock it with plants and let nature do the rest.Bit disappointing at first , just a midge infested pool, but slowly and surely things started to happen , some newts took up residence and started to lay eggs, and i now have baby newtlets, then a damselfly appeared and started laying eggs, a big old diving beetle also took up residence, hope it doesnt eat baby newts though. So slowly but surely nature has come and inhabited my pond, all i need now is a dragonfly and i shall be happy.
Frogs have also been coming and going ,hopefully the midge larvae will be eaten by something.
