Bird count

Bto Bird count at Filby and Ormesby Little Broad couple weeks ago now, saw loads of Damselfly Nymphs crawling out of water and drying out on the Boardwalk, unusual plant also seen it is apparently from America never seen it along the Boardwalk before, saw a Garden Warbler, then after the count went to potter Heigham, the back of Hickling Broad nearby to the Eel catchers hut, saw my first Swallowtail Butterfly of the year.

A stroll around Somerleyton

Lovely day out on Sunday went for a walk around the paths at Somerleyton, Staithe , train station and along the river, saw a lovely Red Kite, Marsh Harrier , Kestrel, found a gorgeous meadow where there once was a Brickworks see the photo with the plaque on the wall, it was teeming with bees and Butterflies Damselflies, and wild flowers, on the way back to the car park had a lovely surprise saw a Banded Demoiselle, beautiful thing they usually like fast flowing water but i was told they are now moving into the broads which is lovely to see, the moth is a Brown Silver lines.
Went to the Dukes head pub for a shandy had something to eat, their little nibbles they have are very nice, Curried Hog, is spicy sausage in curry mayo, I had a bit of a brain seisure, saw Mac and cheese  battered on the menu and assumed it was a Burger, talk about stupid, it was macaroni cheese in batter with barbecue sauce, very nice though.Yum.
